Welcome to Woolwich Polytechnic

Woolwich Polytechnic is a school that prides itself on demanding the highest standards from students and staff alike. We have a pastoral care system that is second to none that supports a ‘no excuses’ culture for behaviour and achievement.

Described by Ofsted as “Outstanding”, in 2015 the school once again achieved superb GCSE results: 71% of students achieving 5 A*-C grades (including English and Mathematics) against a National Average in 2014 of 53% (and a National Average for boys of 47%!). 83% and 80% of the cohort achieved A*-C in English and Maths respectively, this compares to early indications for the national picture of 65% and 62%.
